I did a branding project for Channel 4 and designed the logo for a weekly TV show. This was a milestone as it was the first time any of my designs made it to TV.
An arts Magazine called The Skulls Collective featured a double-page spread about me and my work and also put my name on the front cover.
My Manchester Circle poster design was exhibited at the DesignManchester15 Festival and was displayed in Kosmonaut bar. All sales of that poster went to Manchester In Mind mental health charity.
I started a popular music event called PurpleSky and booked large artists from all over the world. I also did all of the Graphic Design and branding for the event.
In 2008, I started Manchester’s leading music/culture/listings magazine, Chimp. Famous Manchester musician, Mr Scruff, and I collaborated on designing the front cover of the debut issue. The monthly magazine would feature interviews with popular Manchester musicians and to this day, up on the wall in my house, I still have a framed copy of the first issue signed by Mr Scruff and Delphic.
Interesting fact – one of my university tutors was Andy Votel, the founder of Finders Keepers Records and Twisted Nerve Records. His style of design and illustration played a large part shaping my style.
